RAINBOW - RELATING INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS TO THE NQF AND EQF IN THE WELDING SECTOR
The RAINBOW project is funded by EC Erasmus+ programme, under the Key Action 3, Support for Policy Reform and the European Policy tools. It replies to the guidelines related with Quality assurance at European level for enhanced transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications.
The project has raised from the lack of formal procedures for a direct allocation of European Qualifications Frameworks (EQF) levels to international qualifications and from the absence of agreed quality standards for awarding those qualifications.
The results achieved along the project are aligned with the Council Recommendation on EQF for lifelong learning from the 22nd May 2017, which expresses that all references to EQF of International Qualifications, should be made through National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
EQF is a translation grid which links countries qualification systems, acting as an essential tool to make qualification more readable and understandable across different countries.
The Rainbow project is addressed to the EWF qualification system and its alignment with the EQF.
It aims Quality Assurance at European level for enhanced transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications, in accordance with the ERASMUS +sub-programme Support for Policy Reform.
